CALL TO ORDER:

A meeting of the Fremont Soil & Water Conservation District Commissioners was called to order by Chairperson Darwin Bugg at 7:10 p.m. on November 6, 2007 at the USDA Building, Sidney, Iowa.

ADOPT AGENDA:

                 The agenda for the November 6, 2007 meeting was adopted adding Grape Community Hospital form regarding building.

                

APPROVAL OF OCTOBER 2, 2007 MINUTES:

The October 2, 2007 minutes of the Fremont Soil & Water Conservation District Commissioners were approved as presented.

 

APPROVAL OF TREASURER’S REPORT:

62-07       It was moved by Wing and seconded by Mitchell to approve the Treasurer’s report of the Fremont Soil and Water Conservation District. Motion carried unanimously.

 

BUSINESS:

NACD Dues

63-07       A motion was made by Wing, seconded by Mitchell to pay the NACD Dues in the amount of $775.00. Motion showed all in favor.

 

Invoice for Hound Dog A200 Temporary Repairs

64-07       Mitchell made a motion to pay Mather & Sons in the amount of $242.00 for removing the end of the tube of Hound Dog A200 structure. The motion was seconded by Wing and approved unanimously.

 

Nursery Stock Dealer Certificate Renewal for 2008

65-07       The Nursery Stock Dealer Certificate for Fremont SWCD expires 12/31/2007. This certificate is mandatory for the district to sell trees. Wing made a motion, seconded by King to renew the certificate for $25.00. Motion showed all in favor.

 

CDI Resolutions

                 The results of the CDI resolutions were reviewed. Conference is scheduled for November 27-29 in Ames. Registration can still be sent in with a $20.00 late registration fee.

 

Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee Charter

                 A draft charter and public hearing notice for the Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee (MRRIC) were reviewed. When formed, the MRRIC will be the vital link between the Corps’ recovery projects and the stakeholders impacted by those projects. To further assist in understanding MRRIC and its potential impact on districts and partners, NRCS and NACD are offering a teleconference on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. Lucas will participate in the teleconference.

 

Grape Community Hospital Form Regarding the Building

66-07       A form to confirm account balance information as of September 30, 2007 was received from accountants for Grape Community Hospital. Wing made a motion to return the form as presented to the accountant firm. The motion was seconded by Mitchell and passed unanimously.
