Each year, Fremont Soil and Water Conservation District offers up to five $1,000.00 scholarships to area seniors.  Applicants must be a resident of Fremont County and a graduating senior of a Fremont County high school or Shenandoah high school.  Applications can be found on the SWCD website, from high school counselors/principals or at the Fremont SWCD office.

Jared Pyle is a 2007 graduate of Sidney Community High School. He plans to continue his education at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa this fall majoring in business with a minor in graphic design and music. Jared is the son of Kirk and Gloria Kemper

Lauren Clark graduated with the Sidney High School Class of 2007. She will attend Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa this fall to continue her education in the architecture program. Lauren is the daughter of Anthony and Jennifer Clark.
