2004 Scholarship Recipients

Kayla Louise BurkhiserKyle Thomas Spiegel

Kayla Louise Burkhiser of Farragut graduated in May, 2004 from Farragut High School. She is the daughter of Louis and Janet Burkhiser.

Kayla was involved in many activities during her high school career including Concert Band, Marching Band, Pep Band, choir, National Honor Society, Art Club, Pep Club, FFA, student government, drama and speech. She was also a member of the cheerleading squad, dance team and participated in softball, volleyball and track. She is a member of 4-H and of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church.

 

Fall, 2004, Kayla enrolled at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa to further her education.

 

Reneč Michelle Lorimor graduated from Sidney High School in May, 2004. During her high school career she was involved in many activities including student government, National Honor Society, FCCLA, Letterman’s Club, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Concert Band and Celebration. Renee also participated in volleyball, basketball, track, softball, drill team and cheerleading. Renee is a member of Waubonsie Trail Blazers 4-H Club. She was elected Senator at the Iowa American Legion Auxiliary Girls State.

This fall Renee continued her education at Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska entering the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. She is the daughter of Tom and Rita Lorimor of rural Sidney.

 

Kyle Thomas Spiegel graduated with the Class of 2004 from Hamburg High School. While in high school he was involved in a variety of extracurricular activities including National Honor Society, chorus, school plays and musicals and student government. Kyle participated in football, basketball, and track. He is a member of the United Trinity Church.

Kyle continued his education at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri this fall. His parents are Dick and Jonelle Spiegel.
