Fremont SWCD also selects landowners and producers in the county who exemplify an enthusiasm for the conservation of our natural resources. They each take a pro-active stance by going above and beyond the world’s daily standards. This year’s winners were:

Each year, Fremont SWCD selects award winners for numerous categories and events throughout the year. A very difficult selection process takes place in February when the Scholarship recipients are selected. This year’s recipients can be seen on page 3 of this report.

In addition to the Fremont SWCD scholarship, the SWCD also selects winners for the Conservation Districts of Iowa (CDI) poster contest. This year’s theme was “Water Is Life.” Winners of each division (1 - 5) were as follows:
