Text Box: Come Join Fremont SWCD at Annual Wetland Tour Text Box: Fremont SWCD will hold its annual wetland tour on the 30th of June. This newsletter is your invitation to come and join us. The tour will begin at 9:00 am at the Southern Loess Hills Interpretive Welcome Center near the junction of Highway 2 and Interstate 29. The topics of the day will include: wetland wildlife Text Box: habitat restoration, riverine habitat restoration in the Missouri River, and USDA programs and opportunities for landowners. All of the day’s discussion will revolve around the Missouri River’s current state, and the future of the river. Speakers will be present from the Natural Resources Text Box: Conservation Service, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, and the United States Corps of Engineers.
